The Prisma Eye Institute was founded in 2014, as a part of Greenville Memorial Hospital, a 1000 bed teaching hospital.
John D. Siddens, D.O., F.A.O.C.O. is currently Chief of Ophthalmology, a division of the Department of Surgery.
Dr. Siddens is also the Co-Director of the Ophthalmic Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery service. Dr. Siddens completed a fellowship in Ophthalmic Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at the Kresge Eye Institute at Wayne State University in Detroit. This prestigious fellowship was completed under the direction of Frank A. Nesi, M.D. and Geoffrey J. Gladstone, M.D., and covered all areas of periocular, eyelid, and orbital disease and surgery. Dr. Siddens completed his residency at the Detroit Osteopathic Ophthalmology Consortium Residency Program in 1990.
With more than 25 years of experience Dr. Siddens offers the experience of more than 15,000 surgeries, as well as utilizing the latest diagnostic and surgical equipment to provide ethical and excellence in oculoplastic surgical care.
